Rules and Regulations

The State Bar Association of North Dakota issued Opinion 97-09 on September 4, 1997, dealing with e-mail communications (unless unusual circumstances require enhanced security measures, lawyers may communicate with clients using unencrypted e-mail). NOTE: There are reports that the opinion is not yet finalized. The opinion is complete but has not been published "officially." I understand that the N.D. bar will not have copies to distribute until the opinion is published (2-3 weeks) officially.
